Peter Noble was elected to the board of the Australian Meat Processor Corporation Ltd (AMPC) for a third term in November 2013 and is presently the Executive Chair of the AMPC, a Research, Development, Extension and Marketing body for the Red Meat Processing Industry. He is currently a director of Invasive Animals Ltd and Chair of its Governance and Remuneration Committee. He was a board member of the inaugural Principles of Sustainable Insurance, a Finance Initiative of the United Nations Environment Program. Prior to its sale in 2014, Peter held the position of Chairman of Directors of family company, GM Scott Pty Ltd (GMS), where he had been a director and shareholder since 1988. He recently retired as Chief Corporate Governance Officer for a major life insurance company, a position he had held since 2007.
Peter holds degrees in Law and Commerce from the University of NSW and has practised law with International firms in Australia, the United States and Asia. He is also an adjunct Associate Professor in Law and Agriculture at the University of New England.
